It’s looking more and more likely that the much anticipated Mayweather-Pacquiao fight could take place in the coming year.  For bookmakers, this would likely be one of the most wagered events of the year.

On Tuesday, Pacquiao tweeted that he is ready.

.@FloydMayweather, don't be a boxing humbug. Let's give the fans the fight they want. They have waited long enough.

Pacquiao was responding to a Friday night Showtime interview in which Mayweather said he wanted to fight the Filipino May 2.

"We are ready. Let's make it happen. May 2. Mayweather versus Manny Pacquiao. Let's do it," Mayweather said.

Both camps have been at odds in recent years.  Previous attempts to schedule a fight between the two titans of the ring never came to fruition.

"He [Mayweather] has reached a dead end," Pacquiao told skysports.com. "He has nowhere to run but to fight me.

"I will try my best to make this a thrilling and entertaining fight, but I doubt if he's gonna engage me in a slugfest.

"You all know his fighting style. Most of his previous fights, if not all, induced us to sleep."

Gambling911.com will continue to monitor developments here and post the line once it becomes available, assuming the fight gets scheduled.
