John Mateer was extremely efficient in Oklahoma's 51-0 win over UTEP whereby he completed 11 of 17 passes for 225 yards, 3 touchdowns and no interceptions. That's 13.2 yards per attempt and a 234.1 passer rating. It should be noted that his production was limited due to the Sooners dominance over UTEP.

Bryce Underwood struggled in Michigan's controversial 13-12 win over Western Michigan. He finished 12 of 22 for 170 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT. The touchdown was the dramatic 47-yard Hail Mary to J.J. Buchanan at the end of the game. Underwood was actually Michigan's leading rusher, carrying nine times for 47 yards and a touchdown. That gives him 217 combined passing/rushing yards and two total TDs.

Jordan Marshall was held to 44 rushing yards on 11 carries, averaging exactly 4.0 yards per carry with a long of 15 and no touchdowns in the game against Western Michigan last week. This was a surprisingly below par performance for Marshall, who entered the year as Michigan's established lead back after approaching 1,000 rushing yards last season.
