6 Nations Betting Odds 2016: England a 6-5 Favorite, France Odds Cut

England was the favorite to win the 2016 6 Nations with betting odds of 6/5 at most online books offering wagering on Rugby.  You can bet on upcoming 6 Nationals tournaments at BetOnline here and claim up to US$1000 in Free Plays.

There odds of winning the 6 Nations were at 4/5 on 18 February.

Early odds had Wales coming in at 2/1 odds, Ireland 5/1, France 7/1, Scotland 50/1 and Italy 1000/1 odds.

France had shifted to 5/1 by 18 February with Ireland at 40/1, Scotland 200/1 and Italy was pretty much off the charts.

England was seeing the most action early on at 32 percent, Wales at 26 percent and Scotland at 21 percent.

France has been performing above expectations thus far, handily beating Italy and Ireland, hence the two-point price slash.

His group beat Ireland 10-9 and will meet Wales February 26.

"Getting a result like this one, and seeing those young boys so happy, it all feels like a job well done," France Coach Guy Noves said.

"As for writing our history, we will know in a few weeks. Let's all keep our feet square on the ground, because our next opponent will be an extremely strong one.

"I told the boys during the week that we felt they were in there, focused, involved. All in all, the efficiency of the players coming on and off showed massive solidarity in the squad. Those young kids, who were fragile last week, produced a huge performance against Ireland."
