Horses that are likely to run well on a wet track included Orb, Mylute and Oxbow.  Goldencents looked like a mudder coming into the Kentucky Derby two weeks ago, but nearly finished dead last on that sloppy track.  Departing has yet to run on a muddy track.

A dry track favors the other contenders slightly more than Orb, including Departing, who has run well on dirt.

Even with showers in the forecast, only a few hundredths of an inch of rain was expected at Pimlico and that may not be enough to make the tracks muddy.
