Orb is an obvious, and at 3/1 he has tremendous value.  The track is expected to be every bit as sloppy as it was when Orb finished 1st at the Kentucky Derby a few weeks ago.  Some gamblers will have a tough time getting past his horrible Preakness performance, but that loss needs to be ignored under these circumstance.  Orb is still very much a top Belmont Stakes contender

Oxbow also has solid value and is a strong contender at 6/1 odds having won this year’s Preakness Stakes.  It also helps that Hall of Fame jockey Gary Stevens is a three time Belmont Stakes winner.  Whether Oxbow can fare well in the mud remains to be seen.

Revolutionary has finished in the top three in both the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes.  He’s also a horse that is capable of running in the mud (that was proven a few weeks back at the Kentucky Derby).  The +450 price being offered isn’t that enticing a number.  We would rather see 6/1 or greater.

Golden Soul managed to finish a strong second in the mud at this year’s Kentucky Derby.  This track also has a longer length, giving him an edge. At 12/1 odds, you better believe he is a solid Belmont Stakes contender.

Another of this year’s Belmont Stakes contenders worth a look is Freedom Child, who captured the Grade 2 Peter Pan Stakes at Belmont Park back in May.
