2009 British Open Payout Odds

Here are your latest 2009 British Open payout odds, keeping in mind that some online gambling websites may be offering payout odds that are $1000 or more than some of their competitors.

Keep in mind that those living in the UK, Australia, Asia, Europe, South America, Africa and Canada may want to check out Sportingbet.com for even greater 2009 British Open payout odds.  Sportingbet does not accept US customers.  Gambling911.com has quite a few Canadian readers searching for British Open betting information and Sportingbet.com features special 20 percent deposit bonuses and a $50 free bet exclusive to Canadian customers and Gambling911.com readers.

Sportsbook.com offered the best payout odds on four golfers (Woods, Els and Rose)
betED.com had the best payout odds on four golfers (Garcia, Furyk, Westwood and Perry)

Sportsinteraction.com offered the best payout odds on seven of the contenders (Rose, Scott, Poulter, Stenson, Ogilvy, Perry and Donald)

SBG Global had the best 2009 British Open payout odds on six golfers (Woods, Harrington, Scott, Kim, Goosen and McIlroy).

Note that some online sportsbooks featured the same best odds (i.e. Tiger Woods paying $200 for every $100 bet at Sportsbook.com and SBG Global).

Tiger Woods - You will find him mostly paying under $200 for every $100 bet. Sportsbook.com was one that had him paying $200 for every $100 bet compared to a line we found elsewhere at close to even.

Padraig Harrington - We found a line on him as low as +2500 but SBG Global had him paying out $2700 for every $100 bet.  We suspect he'll get a decent amount of action and SBG Global is certainly where you want to place your bet on Harrington in order to maximize value.

Sergio Garcia - The best payout was at betED.com - $2550 for every $100 bet compared to $2000 we saw elsewhere.

Ernie Els - Paid $500 more at Sportsbook.com - $4000 for every $100 bet.

Jim Furyk - Here you had him paying $3650 at betED.com compared to a low of $2800 we saw somewhere else.

Lee Westwood - betED.com again had the best number - $3550 for every $100 bet.

Justin Rose - Paid $10000 for every $100 bet at Sportsbook.com.  There was a +6500 line posted elsewhere and some books didn't even list Rose outside of the ‘field' option, which typically pays under $1000 for every $100 bet.

Adam Scott - Paid between $4000 and $5000.  The later number was the potential payout at SBG Global

Ian Poulter - The best payout odds were found at Sportsinteraction.com - $3000 for every $100 bet compared to $2500 elsewhere.

Retief Goosen - $3850 would be paid out at SBG Global.  We saw a line as low as +2500 at one of their competitors.

Henrik Stenson - Would pay $3500 for every $100 bet at Sportsinteraction.com, which was around $500 more than most online sportsbooks.

Geoff Ogilvy - The payout would be $4000 for every $100 bet at Sports Interaction.  This was $1000 more than at some of SIA's competitors.

Kenny Perry - betED.com had him paying $6000 for every $100 bet.  Other books had him at $5000.

Luke Donald - $8000 was the payout at Sportsbook.com and Sportsinteraction.com

Rory McIlroy - Would pay $2850 for every $100 bet at SBG Global.  This was about $350 more than most other books.

Iowa State: Are They The Underdogs To Look For In March Madness?

They may be defined as “underdogs” or “Cinderella teams”, a term that is usually saved for teams that have little to no chance of winning even a single game during the NCAA Tournament. Teams like Loyola Marymount (1990), George Mason (2006), Davidson (2008), VCU (2011), UConn (2014), and Loyola Chicago (2018) come to mind when conversations turn toward the most surprising tournament runs in recent memory.
