Gambling911.com has your Pirates vs. Cardinals series free Baseball pick for Friday May 1 courtesy of our friends at AceSportsbook.com.

Cardinals -138 St. Louis is 7-3 vs. Pittsburgh and 12-3 overall while the Pirates are just 3-14 in the last 17 meetings in St. Louis.  The home team has also won 8 of the last 10 in this series.   St Louis has played especially well at home over an extended period of time, going 38-14 in their last 52 home games.

Pirates RH A.J. Burnett (0-1, 1.80 ERA) but has given up a combined five home runs in 29 at-bats to Cardinals newcomers Jason Heyward and Mark Reynolds, making both some excellent plays for daily fantasy aficionados.

The Pirates are 5-13 in their last 18 games as a road underdog and, to make matters worse, they are 7-16 in Burnett’s last 23 road starts.  Pittsburgh is also 2-9 in Burnett’s last 11 starts as an underdog of +110 to +150.

Cardinals RH Lance Lynn (1-2, 3.63) had permitted one earned run in each of his first three starts and recorded 26 strikeouts against seven walks this season.  His last outing was a disaster so we would anticipate Lynn getting back to form here.   He is 5-3 with a 4.71 ERA in 15 appearances (13 starts) against Pittsburgh.
