Gambling911.com has your Cardinals vs. Pirates series betting pick for Saturday May 9.  We will be on the UNDER 7.5 in this one.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Cardinals RH Carlos Martinez (3-0, 3.64 ERA) vs. Pirates RH Vance Worley (2-2, 3.90)

Martinez is 0-1 with a 4.41 ERA in 10 career games – one start – against Pittsburgh.

He has surrendered five home runs in his last five starts.

Coming off a dreadful game against the Chicago Cubs in which he yielded 9 runs, we would expect Martinez to be back in form for this game.  After all, he had only allowed two or fewer runs in his first five starts and only one of those games ended up going OVER the current total.

Worley has yet to earn a decision in four starts against the Cardinals while posting a 4.03 ERA.

Only four of the last five games Worley has started in this season have gone OVER the current total.

Seven of the last ten games in this series have gone UNDER the current total.

As far as daily fantasy players go, Jason Heyward has been on fire of late and this does not bode well for Worley.  He’s gone 6-for-14 against him.  Worley is priced at $4500.
