Gambling911.com has your Brewers vs. Pirates series betting picks and DFS plays for Monday through Wednesday.

The Series: Two of three games in Pittsburgh and on the road in Milwaukee have gone OVER 7 while 3 of 4 games played in Pittsburgh last year also went OVER.  The OVER definitely has an edge where the series played in Pittsburgh is concerned.  The Pirates are 5-1 against the Brewers so far this season.

Recent Games: The Brewers have been up and down in both overall games and those played on the road leading to no particular edge.  Likewise there is no edge for Pittsburgh when it comes to the total.  The Pirates have been winning a lot of games.  The Brewers have not been.  Pittsburgh has an edge in this series though the prices will likely be high.

Monday Betting:

Brewers right-hander Jimmy Nelson (2-4) vs. Pirates right-hander AJ Burnett (6-1)

Bettors should only consider the total here as this game will be priced high in favor of Pittsburgh, probably over -200.

Seven of ten games Nelson has started in have totaled eight or higher.  He has allowed four or more runs in four of his last six games.

While Burnett has pitched well, he allowed 5 and 4 runs, respectively, in his last two starts.  Five of his last six have gone OVER 8. The last two times he faced Milwaukee, Burnett allowed 2 and 4 runs, respectively.

An OVER could be in the cards here if the number is set at 8 or lower.

Monday Daily Fantasy:

Andrew McCutchen - His march toward a .300 batting average continues, as he's now slashing .295/.382/.497. McCutchen's strikeout rate of 13.6 percent is the lowest of his career, while his BABIP of .313 remains nearly 20 points below his career mark.  He has hit in eight of his last ten games including 2-for-5 with an RBI double Friday in Atlanta.

Josh Harrison – He went 3-for-4 Saturday with one double and a run.  Harrison has hit in 7 of his last 10 games.

Gregory Polanco – He was hot the other night, going 3-for-4 against Atlanta.  Polanco is just 5-for-28 against left-handed pitching this year.  Nelson is a righty.

Ryan Braun – He has gone 6-for-17 against Burnett but with just one RBI.

Tuesday Betting:

The pitcher for Milwaukee was undecided at press time but is slated to face the Pirates left-hander Francisco Liriano (3-4).

Tuesday Daily Fantasy:

Carlos Gomez - He's now raking at a .395 (15-for-38) clip over the course of a nine game hitting streak. Gomez's numbers are down overall this season, and he's had trouble staying healthy, but he appears to be finding his groove.  He is a “must have” against Liriano Tuesday, going 9-for-18 at bats with two homeruns.

Wednesday Betting:

Milwaukee right-hander Kyle Lohse (3-6, .659) vs. Pirates right-hander Charlie Morton (3-0, .284)

Again we will be looking at a high price on Pittsburgh.  Lohse has given up five runs or more in his last three starts.  Four of the last seven games he has started in have gone OVER 7 with all going OVER 6.5. He allowed 6 runs off of 6 hits in 6 innings versus Pittsburgh to start this season.  We don’t anticipate another 666 performance here but do think he’ll give up three or four runs.  The Brewers bullpen for the most part have been able to reduce any additional damage once Lohse comes out of the game.

This one we would be reluctant to go with the OVER so probably not a good game to bet.

Wednesday Daily Fantasy:

Andrew McCutchen - His march toward a .300 batting average continues, as he's now slashing .295/.382/.497. McCutchen's strikeout rate of 13.6 percent is the lowest of his career, while his BABIP of .313 remains nearly 20 points below his career mark.  He has hit in eight of his last ten games including 2-for-5 with an RBI double Friday in Atlanta.  He maintains a .311 ERA vs. Lohse.

Lohse is a righty.  He has hit 3-for-5 off of Lohse and is a “must have” for your roster today.
