At first glance, you have to remember that the Ravens did not have an easy go at it this past week. They were in a hard battle against the Bills, a team that should’ve been easy to knockoff for them. However, the Ravens aren’t doing well and teams are finding out where the weak points are and just pouncing. The Miami Dolphins are doing well though, and they are pushing teams around and playing great on offense as well as defense. Mike Wallace will have a bulls eye on him, because he will have to face his former team and they know him quite well. This is a deep threat that has to be contained if the Ravens want a chance at victory.
Aside from the long ball, the Dolphins have a lot of great overall power in the backfield, and that’s something that worries many fans of the Ravens. The defense of Baltimore has shown major signs of weakness in fighting down field, and could easily end up losing in regards to the deep passes that are thrown by Miami.
The Match Up:
If the Flacco and the Baltimore offense can throw up some points, the defense has to do a better job at keeping the game close. If there is any sort of falter, much like they had in week 1, you’re going to see a Miami team that will win big here. The Ravens need to put it all together, and work as a unit very well. If they want to win, they will need to do more than they have been in the past, and that’s something that is going to concern everyone involved. Even though the Miami running hasn’t had an amazing year, watch for them to take on the Baltimore defense hard. Even with a good punch in the mouth, the Ravens will find a way to win, and Miami will look strong in defeat. The edge goes to Baltimore at +3.
