Bettor vs. Bookie - Michigan Wolverines February 24

Even when a team is winning outright, this doesn't necessarily mean they are covering the spread.  Gambling911.com looks at recent game performance for specific teams to see who is winning out - the bookie or the bettor.  Here we look at the Michigan Wolverines as of February 24.

The Wolverines rank a 6 in terms of overall covering of the spread in recent games, which somewhat coincides with their 15-12 season record thus far Against The Spread.  Gamblers consistently betting the Wolverines $110 a game should be profiting around $100 to $200 on them.

In their Sunday game against MSU Michigan had 83% of the spread backing. The line has mostly sat at -4.  We've seen books move briefly to the -4.5 and none that opened at -3.5 have moved back to that number, with the lone exception of BetOnline as of 12:15 pm EST.

Sagarin believes this one should be a PICK'EM.   The away team has won six of ten in this series with the Wolverines winning the last three and the Spartans the previous five.

MSU also ranked a 6 in terms of covering the spread coming into this game but many of the indicators (Sagarin, recent team trends, oddsmakers not aggressively moving to the 4.5) seem to give MSU the slight edge here.

Gambling911.com was giving the Spartans a 55% chance of covering without offering an official pick on this game as a result.
