Jeffrey Epstein face in front of the US Capitol Building

With Christmas now behind us but a holiday weekend in full swing, the gambling public does not believe the US President Donald Trump administration will be releasing any more files this week pertaining to the late convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

Only 17 percent of traders at the prediction market Kalshi believe his administration will do so.

Some of the more salacious files came out the day before Christmas, a tranche that included multiple mentions of Trump but added little new revelatory information.

Many of the mentions of Trump in the file came from news clippings, though it includes an email from a prosecutor pointing out the flights that Trump took on Epstein’s private jet during the 1990s. The US president has firmly denied any wrongdoing or knowledge of the criminal activities involving Epstein.

If the Trump Administration has released, after Issuance and before Dec 28, 2025, previously unreleased (but created prior to the start of his Administration, on January 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM ET) documents related to or discussing Jeffrey Epstein’s connections, or associates, then the market resolves to Yes at Kalshi. Sources from White House, The New York Times, and the second Trump administration.

The Justice Department said Wednesday that it may need a "few more weeks" to release all of its records on the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein after suddenly discovering more than a million potentially relevant documents, further delaying compliance with last Friday's congressionally mandated deadline.

The Christmas Eve announcement came hours after a dozen U.S. senators called on the Justice Department's watchdog to examine its failure to meet the deadline.
