US Presidential Elections Swing States Betting Odds has Obama Winning in All But

US Presidential elections swing states betting odds were available from Sportsbook.com, one of the biggest online gambling companies in the world.

Of the 11 states available for betting, only one favors GOP nominee Mitt Romney.

The irony here is that the state favoring Romney happens to be the one which plays host to the Democratic Convention this week, North Carolina.  Romney is nearly a 1/3 favorite to win here

Even Virginia has President Barack Obama as a slight favorite at -130.  Romney was betting EVEN odds.

Colorado is being reported as a state that is leaning more towards Romney of late, but don’t tell that to the bettors.  Obama is nearly a 1/2 favorite in this contest.

Florida, for the record, has both candidates listed at -115 odds.

Online gambling sites and betting exchanges have had a knack for “getting it right” in recent years when it comes to political conventions as the line is reflective of public opinion.  Presumably the candidate one is betting on is the candidate they will vote for.  The lines are based on the amount of action coming in on both sides.
