US Election Betting Trends Have Romney Getting 70 Percent Final Hours

Carrie Stroup here and some important breaking news as Sportsbook.com reports that 70 percent of the US Election betting between Noon Eastern Standard Time and 2 pm ET was coming in on GOP candidate Mitt Romney.

Romney’s odds have been slashed from 3/1 to 5/2 as a result

President Barack Obama remained the favorite at 5/16.

Battleground state betting was no longer available at Sportsbook.com.

In past years, prediction markets have proven incredibly accurate at determining election results. 

This year’s US Presidential race is expected to be the most wagered on nonsporting event in Sportsbook.com’s 15 year history on the Web.
