With Texas Senator Ted Cruz dropping out of the US Presidential race, real estate magnate turned reality star Donald Trump will most certainly become the GOP nominee and former Secretary of State Clinton pretty much has it in the bag despite her challenger Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders staying in the race.

Clinton was a 1-3 favorite to become the next US President.  Trump was coming in at 2-1 odds following the Indiana primaries.

Cruz suspended his campaign after a bad loss to Trump in Indiana.  The Texas Senator had been leading in the polls and was favored at bookmakers as recently as middle of last week.

"From the beginning I've said that I would continue on as long as there was a viable path to victory. Tonight, I'm sorry to say, it appears that path has been foreclosed," Cruz said during a Tuesday night speech. "The voters chose another path, and so with a heavy heart, but with boundless optimism for the long-term future of our nation, we are suspending our campaign."

Books will likely stop offering odds on the remaining state primaries moving forward but watch for other interesting prop wagering including the OVER/UNDER ratings for the first debate between Clinton and Trump.

MSNBC political commentator and former John McCain campaign manager predicted ratings would be greater than that of the first moonwalk with viewers across the world tuning in.

Sanders and Ohio Governor John Kasich remain in the race with a very narrow path for both of them.  Sanders did win Indiana as a 4-1 underdog.
