Odds of a Mitt Romney Landslide: 'Bet of the Century' Claims One Pundit

While the online oddsmakers believe the US Presidential Elections are in the bag (Paddy Power already paid out on President Barack Obama bets), a few pundits are saying “not so fast”.

CNBC’s Larry Kudlow was recently quoted as saying “I am now predicting a 330 vote electoral landslide.”

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough had this to say in an interview with Politico:  “(But) my gut tells me there are two likely scenarios: (1) President Obama will squeak out a narrow Electoral College victory or (2) Mitt Romney will carry Ohio and be swept into office by a comfortable margin.

“After practicing politics for 20 years, I suppose I would rather be in Mitt Romney’s shoes than Barack Obama’s. Incumbents who are under 50 percent two weeks out usually go down to defeat.”

2008 Libertarian Vice Presidential Nominee and Las Vegas oddsmaker Wayne Allyn Root tells Gambling911.com that the current odds being offered up by offshore sportsbooks are “absurd” and “the worst odds ever”.

"I am privy to latest and most accurate polls in USA,” Root claims.  “Romney has the edge. How can he be almost 3 to 1 underdog.”

He added:  “Romney is the value bet of the century at + over 2 to 1 odds.”
