Donald Trump recounted his assassination attempt and much more during a return to the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, X. The interview was delayed due to what Musk said was a cyberattack.
“If I had not turned my head, I would not be talking to you right now — as much as I like you,” Trump told X’s owner Elon Musk.
Musk mostly allowed the former president and GOP nominee to talk uninterrupted.
“There’s some real tough characters out there,” Musk said. “And if they don’t think the American president is tough, they will do what they want to do.”
The X interview is said to have garnered well over a million views. BetOnline offered plenty of prop bets ahead of the highly touted event.
Now we are learning that a betting market has opened on whether the presumptive Democratic nominee and current VP Kamala Harris follows suit with her own X interview.
Musk has invited Harris.
The gambling public is giving this a 3% chance of happening as of Tuesday night with just shy of $30,000 wagered thus far at Polymarket.
According to Polymarket, this market will resolve to "Yes" if Elon Musk interviews or holds a public X space with Kamala Harris by August 31, 2024, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No".
An announcement by either party that an interview/conversation will take place will not qualify for a "Yes" resolution. The interview must actually occur.
The resolution source for this market will be the audio/video recording of the interview/conversation however a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
