Bodog Poker was offering free seats to the World Series of Poker Europe, which starts next week in London. That online poker room was offering a few free chances to take part in the WSOPE via direct buy-in of $500+$40.

The prize packages include a seat in the WSOPE Main Event as well as roundtrip airfare to London, high-end car service to and from the airport, luxury hotel accommodations, Bodog player gear and apparel and spending money.

Great if this were circa March 2008 when all seemed rather rosy over at Bodog.

Unfortunately, Bodog Poker has been bouncing customer and vendors checks left and right.

"This is the third check they bounced with me," one Bodog affiliate complained to Gambling911.com this week. "I need to yank them down off the site."

Bodog's problems began this summer after Forbes.com reported that several of the online gambling company's bank accounts had been seized by the US Government. From there, few if any processors want to deal with Bodog. They also laid off over 200 employees last month.

The good news: European online poker affiliates are less likely to be straddled with rubber checks from Bodog. The bad news: Bodog's impact in Europe has been rather minute to date.

Be careful. Gambling911.com has filed a separate report on the dangers of bounced checks and how they can adversely affect one's credit score.
