Victory Poker Has Zero Black Pros: No Joy For Miller

Victory Poker

Sure Victory Poker has a Playboy Playmate representing their team of professional players in Sarah Underwood.  What it lacks, however, is any African American players.  Hey Victory Poker, David Williams is on the market.  He thinks he's White but I suppose he counts.  Outside of Danny Wong (they must have felt compelled to throw in a token Asian), Victory might be code for some sort of Aryan cleansing.

Victory Poker is being blasted for remarks made by one of its pros who Tweeted a quote from the film Gran Torino without mentioning where the quote came from.

Dan Bilzerian said "A Mexican, a Jew and a colored fellow walk into a bar... The bartender looks up and says... Get the **** out of here".

Bilzerian insists he is not a racist, but instead just a fan of films that depict other races such as Hispanics and Asians as savages.

This led poker reporter Joy Miller to leave a profanity-laden voice mail message to Bilzerian (listen to it here)  She is covering the World Series of Poker, which airs on ESPN, but that cable network has ensured Gambling911.com that Ms. Miller in no way is an employee or speaks for their company.

Miller said that none of the Victory Poker pros, including Bilzarian, would be shown during ESPN's World Series of Poker coverage until he apologized. It was not immediately clear if Bilzarian will apologize for his remarks.  Miller will certainly have no other choice but to report on any Victory Poker pros who make it deep into the WSOP.

To be fair, Victory Poker does employ one Mexican-American as a consultant, Joe Navarro, M.A., a former FBI agent who the online poker room promotes as specializing in "non verbal tells", probably because they don't want him speaking Spanish around the office.
