Well-known tournament player DON’T_RIVER_ME wins UBOC Event #1 for $78,020.

UB’S Online Poker Championship Series, which guarantees over $5 Million in tournament money and competition prizes, kicked off on Sunday, January 16th with the first three of the UBOC6 tournament schedule’s 29 guaranteed events, attracting over 2,050 players to the tables. The excellent turnout for UBOC Events numbers 1, 2 and 3 has set the tone for what’s shaping up to be a super exciting UBOC6, which saw 198 players share in the $700K-plus total UBOC6 prize money on Day One.

"Incredible day all the way around at UB for the beginning of UBOC6.  I was only personally able to play two of the three events yesterday as I was running late, but it didn't seem to matter one bit, as we crushed all the guarantees!  Great way to kick off this series!" said Team UB’s Joe Sebok.

Online poker players showed up in force for UB’s $500+30 buy-in NLH Deep Stack hosted by Team UB’s Eric Baldwin, which kicked off at 14:00 ET yesterday, and boasted a prize pool of $332,000.  A number of Team UB Pros turned out for the $250K GTD event, including BRANDONCANTU (600th), host ERIC_BALDWIN (368th) and ADAM “ROOTHLUS” LEVY, who ran deep in the tournament to finish in 17th place for $2,490.

After a marathon of over 10 hours of play, it was well known online tournament player DON’T_RIVER_ME who triumphed heads up against TIETYMM.  DON’T_RIVER_ME’s Full House – Aces full of Fives – trounced the runner-up, TIETYMM’s two pair on the board, Aces and Fives, to take down UBOC Event #1 and the $78,020 first-place payday.
