Sean Jazayeri has been declared the winner of the 2012 LA Poker Classic Main Event, outlasting a field of several hundred.  He walks away with $1.37 million.

Having begun the final table as chip leader, Jazayeri was quick to add to his lead by knocking out Jason “JCarver” Sommerville in just the second hand of play and after the table’s other short stack, Jason Burt, departed in 5th, he added the scalp of Noah Schwartz to his collection.

Jazayeri beat David Sands, a player who managed to finish among the top 20 at this year’s World Series of Poker Main Event.

While Jazayeri’s live winnings coming into the 2012 LA Poker Classic were slim, he did enjoy a second place finish at last year’s Wynn Classic, leading to a $48,015 cashout.
