The Russians continue to play solid poker at major tournaments, and that includes the 2011 WSOP.

Mikhail Lakhitov and Viacheslav Zhukov both won bracelets for Russia early on at this year's WSOP.  Aleksandr Mozhnyakov (as of this writing was the 4th biggest chip leader) and Andrey Pateychuk are both looking to win the big one as they hang strong in the Main Event.

Mozhnyakov has four cashes in live tournaments and just over $40,000 won.  Pateychuk plays online as ThePateychuk and has two cashes in live play with just over $35,000 won. 

Russia’s professional poker playing field continues to grow with each passing year.

Ivan Demidov is among the most successful with more than $6.4 million won in live tournaments to date.

Kirill Gerasimov has made over $2.5 million in live tournaments.  His 24 cashes at the WSOP account for $1,323,409 of those winnings.

Another big name Russian poker pro is one Alexander Kravchenko, who has over $3 million to his name in live tournaments.

Maxim Lykov has won $2.5 million and Ralph Perry (born Rafael Perivoskin) has taken in over $2.6 million.

The 22-year-old walks away with $8.72 million in cash along with the WSOP bracelet.

"Honestly I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the money," Heinz said early Wednesday after winning the main event in a marathon session of Texas Hold 'em. "Probably my family is going to get a couple gifts."
