PokerStars SCOOP 2009

Every year PokerStars, the world's largest online poker room holds the World Championship of Online Poker, or as it's more commonly called, WCOOP.  This events draws a who's who of the poker community and even amateurs get deeply involved. However, players with small bankrolls tend to miss out on the excitement generated and can only participate as railbirds.

Well, their prayers have been answered as PokerStars in rolling out PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) which is set to begin in less than 2 months on April 2nd.  This series will have 22 different tournaments and each will feature 3 different buy-in stakes, low, medium and high, which means even those with meager bankrolls can participate in the series which will have a minimum $30 million prize pool.  This means there are an astounding 66 events in all.

Take the main event for example.  The high stakes main event's buy in is a deep $10,300.  At the same time, players can also buy into a smaller main event for $1,030 and a small stakes main event for just $109.  This is a tremendous opportunity for all.
