PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Announces Mega Path Satellites

ONCHAN, Isle of Man –The PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) today announced the start of the popular Mega Path satellites for the PCA 2014 festival.

The PCA Mega Path satellites run several times a day and offer PokerStars players the chance to win a Main Event prize package worth $15,560 for as little as 10 Frequent Player Points (FPPs). The PCA Mega Path consists of eight tournament steps, and players can buy-in directly at any step to play for one of six Main Event packages up for grabs in the weekly finals.

From qualifier to PCA champion

In the ten-year history of the PCA, four of the ten Main Event champions qualified online at PokerStars, including last year’s champion Dimitar Danchev, who won $1,859,000 after spending just $700 in an online qualifier.

David Carrion, Director of Live Operations for PCA and Latin America, said: “Last year, more than 400 players won their seats to the PCA event online, with 53 cashing and taking home more than $3.5 million between them. With the Mega Path qualifiers, PokerStars players have six opportunities a week to win a Main Event package to one of the most exciting poker festivals on the planet.”
