A poker commentator and model, Anna Benson, has been arrested for an alleged home invasion.

The outspoken ex-wife of former Texas Rangers star Kris Benson reportedly broke into his Georgia home, brandishing a pistol and whacking his computer with it.  Kris made a frantic 911 call at the time of the apparent forced entry.

'My soon-to-be ex-wife has gotten into my house', he frantically told the 911 operator.  (listen to the 911 call here)

According to the incident report, Kris Benson told police he stepped out of the bathroom to find his wife holding an expandable baton.

He said "she was threatening him with the stick and hitting her vest with it … (and) that she sat down at his desk and hit his computer with the baton."

"She said that it was a new model (vest) she was testing for a company. She said she had to wear it for an extended time to get it to 'mold to her body,''' says the report filed by police in Smyrna, Ga.

Asked by police what he thought his wife was going to do with the baton, Benson replied, "Hit me with it." He said she was "screaming and out of control.

Kris also stated that his ex-wife pulled out a handgun from her purse and demanded $30,000.

Kris managed to escape back into the bathroom and call 911.

Anna Benson appeared in 2011 on the VH1 reality TV show Baseball Wives.  She has also acted as a poker commentator and occasionally plays the game herself.

No doubt the folks over at WickedChopsPoker.com must be shaking in their boots right about now.  Rest assured she probably hasn’t forgotten you folks!!!!! (sigh)

Ms. Benson once contacted the Gambling911.com website expressing her vitriol for WCP and its “antics”, which included referring to the one time Baseball wife as a “bitch”.

"WickedChopsPoker are nobodies, the site is garbage. Gambling911.com is a respected website," a crying Anna said in a phone call to the G911 site, noting that her young children had read some of the vicious comments.

Brazen home invasions involving poker players is nothing new as 2010 World Series of Poker champ Jonathan Duhamel was recently a victim of one such robbery.  His ex-girlfriend has since been charged with breaking into Duhamel’s suburban Montreal home, beating him up and stealing his prized gold bracelet.  She was sentenced last month to a 3 year prison term.
