Poker After Dark

A bunch of the poker world’s hottest bachelors are set to play during the next segment of NBC’s Poker After Dark.

They are calling it the “Lonesome Shark Week”, a 20,000 buy-in sit-n-go that features the likes of David Williams, Erick Lindgren, Antonio Esfandiari, Mike Matusow, Brad Booth and James Akenhead.

With the exception of Akenhead, all of these players have previously appeared on Poker After Dark but none has enjoyed the level of success that one might expect from players of their caliber.

In fact, the combined record of the five who have previously competed is a startling 2-30, with Matusow and Williams each claiming one of the victories.

As one might expect when you put a group like this together, the table talk centers on the benefits and pitfalls of the bachelor lifestyle, and there are some great stories shared that result in plenty of laughs.

Each of the poker bachelors has his unique quirks.

David Williams has been well publicized on the Gambling911.com website for his starring role in a porn video with a woman three times his senior where he sucked on toes.  He Owns more than 300 pairs of Nike Air Force One sneakers.  Brad Booth is a more rugged poker player whose nickname is “Yukon Brad” due to spending time during the summer in the hostile Yukon Territory.

Episodes begin airing Tuesday morning at 2:05 and continue nightly through Saturday morning.
