Phil Collins World Series of Poker

He’s written such great songs as “Sussudio”, “One More Night” and “Against All Odds”.  Phil Collins has had a sick seven number one hits in the United States.  The drummer/vocalist from Genesis went on to enjoy a super successful solo career.  And, no, Phil Collins is NOT playing in this year’s World Series of Poker.  Well, not THAT Phil Collins anyway.

There is a much younger version playing and he shares the same name as the performing artist.  This, in itself, has led to some sideline humor.

This Phil Collins, who is representing the USA, not the UK, has won over $3 million in online poker to date.

"I think that everything I've done in my poker career has prepared me for this tournament," Collins said. "This is why everyone plays, it's what created the poker boom in the first place."

By Tuesday night, Collins was looking to be among the November Nine, playing at the WSOP final table.  He was certainly in a good position to do so being among the top five chip leaders.
