406 online poker players turned up to hang and chat with the vivacious TRISHELLE_C in UB’s $150K GTD $200+15 buy-in event at 20:05 ET, and then 90 minutes later, 510 of them lined up again for TRISHELLE’s $10K GTD at 21:30 ET, a weekly event that has continued to grow in popularity at the leading online poker site.

Tournament host TRISHELLE_C (327th) and a number of Team UB Pros also came out to support the event, including BRANDONCANTU (291st), DEBO34 (287th), MATT GRAHAM (80th), and ADAM “ROOTHLUS” LEVY, who made the deepest run of the Team UB pros, but still finished outside the money in 67th place.

After over eight hours of tournament play, it was experienced online player JROMB who proved himself the king of the cards on the night. Heads up against FULL CLIP,  JROMB agreed to a deal, based on chip count, resulting in a $41,142.20/$37,995 split, with $3K left aside for the eventual winner.

At this stage of play, both players were in the mood to get the tournament settled, and they both agreed to go All-in every hand for the remaining $3,000. JROMB held 10d-Ks against FULL CLIP’s 10s-6s. The Flop saw 3c-2c-Qh in the middle, the Turn came 3h, and the River was the 3d.  Both players showed with the trip threes on the board – but it was JROMB’s King kicker that held up on this occasion to take down UBOC Event #11 and the $44,142.20 first prize. FULL CLIP had to be happy with second place and the $37,995 he got for the earlier chip chop.

I finished 2nd in the PLO UBOC event on the weekend for $18K, so I had a lot of confidence entering the tournament. I just played my game, and I had a good feeling I’d do well.
