With Halloween and the start of November just around the corner, both Cake Poker and UB.com have announced online poker promotions for these last few weeks of 2010.

Cake Poker brings back its popular Gold Card Race promotion, introduces the Champions League Tournament Series and continues its Monday Night Football promotion.  This is in addition to Cake Poker paying out up to $650 in free bonus money when one opens an online poker account with the 4th biggest US-facing Internet card room.

The Gold Card Race is a real money ring game competition that will award players a total of $25,000 during the month of November. Gold Cards are distributed randomly in all real money ring games and as players earn Gold Cards, they will receive "miles" on the Gold Card Race leaderboard. The more miles players earn, the further they will get in the race, with the winner being decided at the end of each week. Cash prizes are awarded weekly to the top 50 players who banked the most miles with a top weekly prize of $1,000.

November also brings us the Champions League Tournament Series, an annual football cup competition for the top football clubs throughout Europe.

Cake Poker will host a nightly tournament on each day of Champions League matches. Players who cash in two tournaments in the same week will receive an extra $50. Champions League tournaments run Nov 2nd, 3rd, 23rd and 24th at 7:30pm GMT and have a $10 buy-in.

November will also see the continuation of Money Night Football, two tournaments that run every Monday night in honour of American Football season. Players who cash in one of the nightly tournaments with their screen name changed to reference their favourite football team or player will be entered into a weekly $500 kamikaze tournament.

Card Room Manager, Lee Jones, notes “People all over the world are crazy about sports and Cake’s players are no different. We enjoy giving our players an opportunity to root for their team as part of the poker experience.”

Meanwhile, over at UB.com, that online poker room is offering a Special Halloween $200K GTD Seat Giveaway

The leading online poker site will mark Halloween with two special ways for players to qualify for the $200K GTD $200+15 buy-in tourney on Sunday, October 31st at 16:00 ET.  The first chance to win a seat into UB’s $200K GTD won’t cost players a cent, with the Halloween freeroll on October 31st at 12:00 ET set to give away 20 seats to the weekly Guaranteed event.

Players who miss out on securing their ticket for free can register for the $4+0.40 low limit buy-in Rebuy Satellite, running on the same day at 13:30 ET. With at least another 20 seats up for grabs in this micro-stakes satellite, that’s a minimum of 40 players who will be awarded a seat to UB's biggest weekend Guaranteed on Halloween Sunday, and a prize pool of $200,000 guaranteed to be shared.

Most online poker players love playing at a number of websites, so consider joining both Cake Poker and UB.com to take advantage of these great Halloween and November promotions.
