Online Poker Promotions and Bonuses for August 2011

Cake Poker, as always this time of the month, has released its online poker promotions and bonus offerings for August 2011.

Headlining the August 2011 online poker promotional slate is the $60,000 Gold Club Tournament Series.  Additionally, qualifiers for the WPT’s Grand Prix de Paris will continue through the month.

Debuting on August 4th and running to September 2nd is Cake Poker’s $60,000 Gold Club Tournament Series. The high-value Gold Club tournaments do not cost players any money to enter since all buy-ins are made using Gold Cards, a collectible reward distributed at random to players at ring game tables. There are 28 Gold Club tournaments in total, all with cash prize pools ranging from $500 to $5,000. Players can enter any Gold Club tournament they wish provided they have the appropriate Gold Card required to buy-in, all of which are the same suit - clubs. As an added bonus, players who participate in at least 10 Gold Club tournaments will receive free entry into the $15,000 Finale Freeroll where the top three players will be awarded $5,000 in pending bonus cash each.

Players not wishing to participate in the Gold Club tournament Series can still put their club-suited Gold Cards to good use in August by visiting The Exchange. The Exchange is a player-to-player marketplace in which players can buy or sell Gold Cards. Typically Gold Cards involved in monthly promotions are more sought after so players holding these cards can sell them at a premium to other players looking to partake in Gold Club tournaments.

Also in August, Cake Poker’s qualifiers for the WPT’s Grand Prix de Paris will conclude on Sunday, August 28th. This is the last chance for players to claim their $12,500 Cake prize package and secure their seat to the Grand Prix. Taking place from September 1st to 11th, the WPT’s Grand Prix de Paris will be held at the world famous Aviation Club de France located in the heart of Paris. Poker stardom awaits players who make it to the €7,500 Main Event’s televised final table. Cake Poker has satellites running daily for as little as $0.20 with the last final taking place on Sunday, August 28th at 5pm EST (12am GMT).
