Last night, an unknown high stakes cash game poker pro from Sweden continued to emerge and do well against some big names over at Full Tilt Poker, the world's second largest online poker site. Though the previous sentence for the past 6 months had been reserved for the maniacal Isildur1, this time, it is someone else, with much less notoriety, but has a known name. The players name is Joel Nordkvist and his online handle is "Odonkor1".

Over the past 3 days, Nordkvist has been crushing $100/$200 no limit heads up cash games to the tune of an $803K profit, a figure that even his fellow countryman, Isildur1, would be proud of.

His latest session started off rather slowly, as over a 216 hand match-up against pro Nick Shulman ended with Nordkvist up a relatively scant $4000. It was after Shulman left, and was replaced by "jungleman12" that his session really took off. The two did battle for 3,012 hands and when the smoke had cleared, Nordkvist had taken over $300,000, fueled in major part by his winning the 3 largest pots of the session.

Though Nordkvist does not nearly come with the same fanfare and brash bravado as Isildur1, it seems as though he is a solid player who is well-regarded among some of the high stakes regulars and differs from his fellow Swede because he seemingly has some semblance of self control. Who knows? Perhaps in the near future, the two will find themselves squaring off to determine Swedish supremacy.
