Mike Sexton: 'I Do Feel the WSOP Needs to be Careful in Not Diluting Their Brand'

Sitting down in an exclusive interview with PokerTube this week, PartyPoker Chairman and poker icon Mike Sexton expressed his sentiment about the World Series of Poker (WSOP) losing some of its magic by offering so many different events.  Scroll Down for More

"I love the WSOP and its history but I do feel they need to be careful in not diluting the brand (& the value of the bracelet) by continuing to increase the number of events each year.  And since players can qualify for WSOPE and WSOPC events on partypoker, I love 'em!"

Sexton also laughed off Doyle Brunson's announcement he will be retiring from the game of poker.

"There's a chance he might not play any more tournaments, but he will never quit playing poker unless he's physically unable to get to the Bellagio. "

Sexton also chimed in regarding the recent controversies over verbal abuse at the poker tables, noting he would ban such behavior.
