Martin Staszko is sort of being recognized as the man who helped eliminate those two sappy lovebirds David Sands and Erika Moutinho from the World Series of Poker Main Event in the waning hours leading up to the Final Table.  Staszko has more lofty goals now, that is to win the WSOP Final in November.  He is the first player to make a World Series of Poker final table from the Czech Republic.

The 35-year-old will come to the final table as the chip leader.

"I know everyone is very happy and very excited," Staszko said in halting English. "My strategy was just to get chips and make the final table. I'm happy."

Staszko has 6 cashouts in his live tournament career.  His biggest finish to date was 10th place at the Unibet Open Main Event – No Limit Hold’em last year.

This year’s final nine make up the most internationally diverse field in WSOP history with players from the United States, Great Britain, Ireland, Belize, The Ukraine, Germany and the Czech Republic.
