He may have been way down in August (more than $800K to be precise) but in just the first two days of September, Finnish pretty boy poker player Patrik Antonius has managed to realize a $306K profit on the Internet high stakes poker front.

Antonius did so against

The feat came at the expense of a player named Deprimiert.  413 hands of $2,000/$4,000 Limit Hold’em later and Antonius was the $306K victor.

Deprimiert may be September’s biggest loser thus far.  He was destroyed by Phil Ivey just one day prior to the Antonius battle, to the tune of $327K.

Not a whole lot is known about Deprimiert other than he claims to reside in Gibraltar, which just happens to be where some of the big online poker firms (PartyGaming) are based.

Antonius, on the other hand, is among the biggest names in poker.  The former runway model and tennis coach has amassed more than $2 million on the live tournament front alone, though he’s probably best known for his high stakes poker play online.
