Just before 4:30 pm Eastern Standard Time, the Punta Cana Poker Classic player pool, which started off with 415, had dwindled down to just 16 and players were dropping like flies.

BetDSI.com Poker qualifier Bill Wellman (pictured) was leading the pack with just shy of one million chips.

Two females remain among the final 16, both of whom are named Jessica.

We have Jessica Perez of Cuba and Jessica Bedoya of Ecuador.  Ms. Bedoya finished third at the LAPT Colombia this year and is someone that the poker world needs to keep a close eye on.

Jose De La Guararo, winner of the Sunday Million in Panama, remained among the 16 left standing.
