Eureka Prague Hits 366 for Day 1A

The EPT & Eureka Prague Poker Festival has kicked off with the first flight of the €1,100 Eureka Main Event. After four levels, registration closed with a final day 1a field of 366.
The first Team PokerStars Pro to enter the tournament was Eugene Katchalov. The Ukranian started very well and early seized a spot to come close to the overall chip lead. We are already through 6 levels, which means the players are now on a 75-minute dinner break.

Day 1a featured other famous poker players. Representing France, there is a strong duo - Antoine Saout and Roger Hairabedian. The former recorded an impressive 3rd place in the 2009 WSOP Main Event for nearly $3.5 million, the latter has won the Grand Prix de Paris back in 2008 for over $650,000.
Achilles Bozso from Hungary already knows how it feels to win a Eureka Main Event title. He grabbed the trophy in May, when he beat everyone in Dubrovnik. Bozso won his seat online on PokerStars for Eureka Prague.
EPT Player of the Year Jan Bendik also competed today, but bust just before the dinner break.

After dinner, players will return for another four levels. The clock should stop about midnight and survivors will be back on Tuesday for day 2.

Around 30 players who are in today's field have also won a ticket for the EPT Prague Main Event worth €5,300. The highlight of the EPT & Eureka Prague Poker Festival starts on Thursday, December 12, the same day as the Eureka Prague Final Table.

Others joining the event for day 1b tomorrow include several Team PokerStars Pros - the De Meulder twins, Marcin Horecki, Martin Hruby, Alex Kravchenko and Henrique Pinho.
