Turkish player Cengiz Ulusu was the chip leader going into Day 2 of EPT Berlin.  Survivors after Day 1b included the likes of Viktor Blom, George Danzer, Alex Kravchenko, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Juan Manuel Pastor, Matthias De Meulder and Nuno Coelho as well as tennis legend Boris Becker.
