A new video game encourages poker players to cheat!

The game, created by video game developer Wideload Games, is called "Texas cheat ‘em," an obvious play on words on the poplular poker game Texas hold ‘em.

According to a press release about the new video game, the game is, "a new take on the classic Texas hold ‘em rules, turning an average online poker table upside down by layering party games and other gambling mini-games on top of the basic rules, and allowing players to cheat to win!"

The release goes on: "Gamers of all levels can hoodwink their opponents in ‘Texas cheat ‘em.' Novice competitors who craft good cheating strategies by using x-ray vision, pre-cognition, chip stealing, card swapping and more can defeat more veteran card players."

The game is scheduled to be released in the spring for use with the Microsoft Xbox and the Sony Playstation.

A version for use with personal computers is slated for a later release.

"We upped the ante on traditional online poker and set ‘Texas cheat ‘em' in a decidedly irreverent world where players can do what they've always wanted to do: cheat," said Wideload spokesman Scott Corley. "It's a hilarious online card playing experience that gets even more fun as players become cheating masters." =9D In a modern world where a Bill Belichick can cheat his way to a Super Bowl victory and a Bernie Madoff can cheat investors out of billions of dollars, a video game where you must cheat to win sends a marvelous message to the youth of America-and the world.

Forget about study, preparation, perserverance and good old fashioned hard work.

All you need to do win and be successful in life is to cheat!

In other words, kids, if you can't beat ‘em, cheat ‘em!
