Maybe it’s taken a while but the Brunson 10 players are starting to make quite an impact.  Just last week,  Steve Gross managed to make the final table of the LA Poker Classic 2011 where he finished 5th and walked away with just over $300,000.

Now comes word that another Brunson 10 pro, Alex Kamberis, is heading into Day 4 of The Big Event at the Bicycle Casino as the 6th biggest chip holder.  Only 22 players remain in that event.

The Big Event at Bicycle Casino resumes this afternoon. With a starting field of 417 players, the prize pool features $1.9 million in cash. The first place winner will collect $500,000.

If Kamberis maintains his lead, he is likely to make the final table of the tournament, the second Brunson 10 pro to final table a major tournament in a one-week span. Last week, Steve Gross won $304,000 for a 5th place finish in the WPT LA Poker Classic.

Kamberis has experienced an extraordinary year so far at the poker tables. The DoylesRoom.com pro poker player has won over $198,000 playing in seven separate online poker tournaments, including a final table showing that earned him $145,000. The Brunson 10 pro hopes to achieve similar success at The Bicycle and land his first casino poker tournament cash of the year.

At eight members strong, The Brunson 10 is Doyle Brunson's team of elite pros. Doyle Brunson, poker's biggest legend, will continue to handpick members for his group of young, elite poker players until the team is packed with 10 of the world's best legends-in-the-making.
