Borgata Poker Open 2011

The Borgata Poker Open 2011 could reach up to 1400 registrants.  460 entered the $3,500 buy-in event during Day 1a.

Big name player Vanessa Selbst was among the top 10 chip leaders by days’ end.  Selbst finished 1st at the PokerStars Mohegan Sun NAPT Season 2 event this past April, taking home $450,000.

It’s interesting to note that Selbst will not be partaking in this week’s Partouche Poker Tour.  She won last year’s main event and the more than $1.8 million that came with it.

Here are the unofficial top ten chip counts from the end of Day 1A of play at Borgata:

1.    Abe Korotki – 260,100
2. Vanessa Selbst – 198,675
3. Darren Elias – 191,200
4. Will Failla – 189,500
5.  Eirc Salinas – 184,225
6.  Adam White – 180,625
7.  Jesse Cohen – 177,825
8. Jason Min – 174,000
9. Andreas Freund -163,525
10.  Daniel Colman – 160,000
