When the Main Event of the World Series of Poker resumes this Saturday, the world will have their eyes on one poker legend - and he isn't even playing. DoylesRoom.com has confirmed that poker legend Doyle Brunson has been tapped to announce the "Shuffle Up & Deal" as the final table of the WSOP resumes.

Stated Doyle Brunson, "I'm honored and excited to be a part of the 40th WSOP final table and while I wish I'd actually be sitting down in front of a large chip stack, this is the next best thing."

Doyle Brunson and WSOP final tables are quite synonymous. In a career that has spanned five decades, Brunson has made 24 World Series of Poker final tables and won 10 bracelets, collecting nearly $3 million along the way.

The World Series of Poker final table takes place from November 7th to 9th in Las Vegas. The tournament began with 6,494 players on July 3rd. On July 15th the field was narrowed down to just nine players. The November Nine consists of Darvin Moon, James Akenhead, Phil Ivey, Kevin Schaffel, Steven Begleiter, Eric Buchman, Joe Cada, Antoine Saout and Jeff Shulman.

It's quite fitting for Doyle Brunson to be present at a final table that's made up of poker players who are as young as 21 years old. The mainstream popularity of Texas Hold'em is often attributed to Doyle. Brunson, a legend who is widely considered the Babe Ruth of poker, is credited with bringing the game from the smoky basements of yesteryear to HD television sets in living rooms across the globe today.

This year, he is doing the same for online poker by building a team of young, elite poker players called The Brunson 10, assembled to help bridge the gap between old-school poker and the new world that exists online.

More details on Doyle Brunson's career and The Brunson 10 are available online at DoylesRoom.com, the only online poker site he endorses.
