2009 Aussie Millions Main Event Begins Sunday

One of the biggest poker events is slated to begin Sunday January 17 - the 2009 Aussie Millions, which last year paid over a million dollars to the top 2 finishers.  The Aussie Millions began on January 4 but the main event starts Sunday.

Here is the schedule for the 2009 Aussie Millions main event:

Day 1A: Jan. 18 - Five 90-minute levels (all tournament days begin at 12:30 p.m. AEDT -- 6:30 p.m. PST the preceding day)

Day 1B: Jan. 19 - Five 90-minue levels

Day 1C: Jan. 20 - Five 90-minute levels

Day 2: Jan. 21 - Five 120-minute levels

Day 3: Jan. 22 - Five 120-minute levels

Day 4: Jan. 23 - Play down to the final table

Final table: Jan. 24

The Aussie Millions is a series of poker tournaments held at the Crown Casino, in Melbourne, Australia. The Main Event of the series is the Southern Hemisphere's richest poker tournament with a prize pool in excess of AU$7 million.
