Online poker traffic dropped 0.7% this week, with some of the licensed French sites losing ground after weeks of growth. Seven of the top 10 tracked sites and networks gained or broke even for the week.

The latest readings from the French market show an overall traffic decline of 5%, which may indicate a cooling off of the market or may simply be attributable to the late summer vacation season. The answer will not be known until the fall/winter prime season gets underway, when a significant upturn in traffic would normally be expected. The licensed French sites now represent 6.3% of the worldwide online poker market, down from 6.6%.
