LAS VEGAS (Gambling911.com) - Poker's top earner on the live tournament circuit, Bryn Kenney, has filed a suit against GGPoker's parent company, NSUS Group Inc., over an ownership stake dispute. The civil suit was filed in the Clark County District Court, Nevada in August. GGPoker's top boss Mansoo "Michael" Kim filed a month later to have it all dismissed.
Only now has the poker media picked up on this story after a judge approved an extension and rescheduling of the hearing on October 9. The next court hearing is scheduled for Nov. 12.
Kenney once served as an ambassador for what has become one of the largest online poker sites in the world.
He claims to have helped build the site.
Per Poker News, the suit claims that Kim and NSUS "made deliberate misrepresentations to Plaintiff Kenney to induce Mr. Kenney to stake his reputation, personal finances, and years of labor to transform GGPoker from a failing, distrusted platform into the most recognized online poker room in the world. Having obtained benefit of Mr. Kenney's extraordinary contributions, Defendants then methodically dishonored every material promise they made to him."
Those promises made in 2018, according to the Plaintiff, were "weekly payments on revenue-based commissions" on players Kenney recruited to the poker site, along with a 5% equity interest in GGPoker. All this, per the lawsuit, was in exchange for Kenney serving as a site ambassador, head of game management, and the primary recruiter of players and agents to the platform.
Kenney, from 2018 to 2025, argues that he recruited "thousands of players" to GGPoker and served as the poker site's "de facto head of game management, building, from scratch, every high roller tournament on the platform, persuading Defendant Kim against business decisions that would have made GGPoker's eventual ascent to number one in the world impossible."
Kenney claims not receiving the ownership stake and the elimination of commissions he felt he deserved has cost him tens of millons of dollars.
Kim responded in a Sept. 23 court filing, writing "Kenney's fraud theory rests on an undated, unattributed assurance that his own Complaint shows the entire poker community, himself included, disbelieved." The document continued saying that Kenney's lawsuit "improperly lumps Kim with parties who are alleged to have said nothing."
GGPoker's parent company, NSUS Group, now owns the World Series of Poker (WSOP). They acquired it in August 2024, when Caesars Entertainment agreed to sell the WSOP brand and intellectual property to NSUS Group for $500 million. The transaction was completed in October 2024.
One important distinction: NSUS Group owns both GGPoker and the WSOP brand. GGPoker itself was not technically the acquiring company.
Kenney might not need the money. He became the first to crack the $90 million mark on the live poker tournament. That's more than the current face of GGPoker, Daniel Negreanu, who has won $60,677,065 in tracked live career tournament earnings.

Police: Cape May County Middle School Teacher Restrained Man and Stole Over $1000 During Sex Act at Atlantic City Casino

A middle school teacher has been charged with stealing from a man at an Atlantic City casino during what authorities described as a perverse ménage à trois that allegedly took a twisted turn. Another woman charged was previously arrested for prostitution at the Borgata Casino. The Cape May County New Jersey computer class teacher, Amanda Crafts, is accused of restraining the man in a hotel room at the Harrah's Casino then forcing him to access his bank account info using facial recognition to steal $1,250, supposedly the payment for oral sex. These Are the Most Bet on Games and Sides in the NFL Sunday
The Patriots were seeing 90% action overnight with both tickets and amount of money wagered. They were briefly a -7.5 favorite but the line has mostly sat at -7 as they host the New York Jets.
The Panthers vs. Eagles game had seen more than $2 million come in at Kalshi overnight with 62% of the action on Carolina and the books see mostly the same thing with the spread action coming in on the Panthers at a 70% clip. They are the -3 favorite after the line sat on -3.5 for a while. Jalen Hurts has been ruled out for this game. Philadelphia opened as a -2 point favorite initially. Other factors favoring Carolina include the Panthers coming off a bye week, Philadelphia losing three straight games, and an Eagles offense already dealing with injuries to Saquon Barkley and DeVonta Smith. Carolina has averaged more than 30 points per game this season, compared with Philadelphia's 18.4. Tanner McKee is expected to start at quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles against Carolina. Hurts, we are learning, has been placed on injury reserve after being diagnosed with a blood clot.
The Ravens vs. Browns game has attracted $1.2 million at Kalshi. Action was split on this one.
The Texans vs. Jaguars game had Jacksonville as a -2.5 favorite coming off the -3. This game was attracting balanced action.
The Chargers vs. Chiefs late afternoon game is seeing more action than many of the early games with Kansas City coming in as a -7.5 favorite. The Chiefs were seeing between 75% and 80% of the spread action early. The line has been as high as -9, so there is a good chance we can see LA pull off the cover here.

Vegas Casino Flamingo Theft Defendant Says He Had 30 to 40 Drinks Before Yanking Peachy From Bird Habitat
The jury provided Canadian tourist, Mitchell Fairbairn, 34, with an extensive set of questions as his trial kicked off this week in Las Vegas. Fairbairn is accused of stealing and harming a beloved flamingo named Peachy at the aptly named Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel & Casino resort on March 3. While claiming to have drank upwards of 40 beers the day of the incident, Fairbairn, who lives on a farm, told jurors he does "not drink a lot" and followed that with "Nowhere near what I drank here". Fairbairn claims he climbed into the bird habitat hoping to fix Peachy's "detached wing" but ultimately ended up mingling with another bird prior to allegedly forcibly removing Peachy and taking him up to his hotel room. Jurors asked "If someone hops your fence and enters your farm and hurts an animal that you own, what is your expectation of local law enforcement?: His response: "That’s a good question. I would say a proper investigation to ensure that an individual that took it actually is the one who harmed it." The trial continues Monday and Gambling911.com will be providing full coverage.
