There has been active discussion in recent weeks regarding Facebook potentially entering the “real cash” online poker market in the U.S. via its phenomenally successful Zynga Texas Holdem game should legislation pass making Internet cardrooms legal in the States.  But Zynga, for the time being, seems to be focused on grander plans.

On Wednesday, the company launched its beta version of the popular poker game in Taiwan and Hong Kong, making it the first Zynga game in Asia.  Their Texas Holdem Poker game is already available to those living in some 100 countries, including the U.S.

The game will be localized with traditional Chinese language.

Zynga’s poker encompasses some 90,000 players per minute, with some 5.6 million playing the game daily.  That number is 54 times the amount of people who visit Las Vegas daily.
