Portugal's Nani will not be playing in this year's World Cup because of a bruised right collarbone.  It was not immediately known when Nani suffered the injury.

Portugal coach Carlos Queiroz was especially disappointed after Nani had a breakthrough season with Manchester United.

"Unfortunately, he didn't make it. They've been three difficult days," Queiroz said. "In my 30 years as a coach, I've never seen a player so determined to get better."

Portugal was listed with 25/1 odds of winning the FIFA World Cup 2010 at SBG Global. Only 8 teams had shorter odds of winning outright.

Of course, Portugal still has what many consider to be the best player in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo.
