Las Vegas (Gambling911.com) - On Thursday we are learning of plans on a Vegas Matt biopic. His real name is Stephen Matt Morrow, a 62-year-old high-stakes gambler and casino-content creator who has become one of the biggest personalities in gambling social media.
Filmmaker and comedian Mike Young's "The Chop" is described as a rags-to-riches drama inspired by the true story of Morrow, and his path to becoming an advantage slot player and gambling influencer with more than 1.6 million YouTube subscribers.
The Chop is eyeing a 2027 production start and has not yet announced a director. Additional financing, production and casting details are set to be shared at a later date. Red Leaf Entertainment is developing the project.
The story sees the lead character connect with a band of misfit gamblers, and as the collective soon rises to fame, Morrow grapples with the challenges inherent with his success.
Vegas Matt made headlines last month when he was escorted out of - and apparently banned from - the Venetian after winning $400,000.

He confirmed the situation via his social media.
"Chuh! Security escorted me off property a few days after we won $400k. We played a Phoenix link but left the counter higher than we started it which is hardly advantage play. Maybe they just didn’t like me winning.
"Their loss I prefer giving my business to properties that are happy when I win! Just won $260k at Fontainbleau and I’m here playing again today!"
Morrow's attorney also sent gambling-recovery advocate Rob Minnick, better known as Rob ODAAT, a 17-page demand letter alleging defamation. The dispute stems from a July video in which Minnick criticized gambling influencers and featured an image of Vegas Matt alongside the words “FAKE GAMBLER.”
