Massive Grammys Odds Moves After Heavy Betting
The oddsmakers are BetOnline are solid when it comes to handicapping sports.
Entertainment events...definitely not their strong suit, and quite often mistakes will be made.
Vegas was way off when setting the initial Grammys odds last Friday after nominations were announced. Bettors hammered favorable odds, and now we have a ton of changes to tell you about.
Best New Artist:
- sombr went from a -500 favorite to a +800 underdog
- Leon Thomas went from +600 to the -150 favorite
- KATSEYE's odds improved from +1600 to +500
- Addison Rae went from +2000 to +800
Record of the Year:
- Manchild went from a -175 favorite to a +800 underdog
- APT. went from worst odds at +1200 to the -120 favorite
- Abracadabra's odds improved from +800 to +250
Song of the Year:
- Manchild went from a -275 favorite to a +1400 longshot
- Golden went from third at +350 to first at -150
- luther's odds improved from +800 to +210
- Abracadabra saw the biggest move, going from +2500 (last) to +250
Album of the Year:
- Man's Best Friend went from a -150 favorite to a +1000 underdog
- MAYHEM went from last (+2000 odds) to the favorite at -250

- The "favorite" has a minus (-) sign in front of him/her/it
- The "underdogs" have a plus (+) sign in front of him/her/it
- The larger the number behind the plus sign, the bigger the underdog
- Essentially, going from top to bottom on the list is ranking most likely to least likely to win
Here are some examples:
- Bettor risks $150 on Leon Thomas for Best New Artist and if he wins, the bet would return $250 (150 original bet + 100 in winnings).
- Bettor risks $100 on KATSEYE for Best New Artist and if they win, the bet would return $600 (100 original bet + 500 in winnings).
