The line on the Minnesota vs. Michigan game opened at Wolverines -10.

Sagarin has Michigan rated at No. 17 (82.69) and Minnesota No. 58 (73.69).  With home field advantage, Sagarin gives us a number of 12.87, suggesting an underlay.  Indications are this line will move below the 10 at most sportsbooks and PPH bookie solution platforms during the course of this week.  Underlays in the 10/9.5 range, based on our model compiling data over the past two years, does not provide for any edge.  Should the line stay above the 10, Michigan would have a slight edge.

Minnesota (2-2) was beaten by Iowa 31-14 in Week 4.

The Gophers (2-2, 0-1) had the clear upper hand in the first half, taking a 14-7 lead on touchdown passes from Max Brosmer to Jameson Geers and Elijah Spencer. The only score by the Hawkeyes came after a 38-yard drive, thanks to a diving interception by linebacker Jay Higgins in the first quarter.

Iowa punted four straight times after that and went into halftime with only 107 total yards.

Michigan will come into this game 3-1 on the season thus far, winning a tight one in Week 4 against a good USC team.

Kalel Mullings had a career-high 159 yards rushing, including a 53-yard scoring run to put the Wolverines ahead early, and Donovan Edwards had a 41-yard run to give them a two-touchdown lead.

Moss was 28 of 51 for 283 yards with a season-high three touchdowns and an interception that was returned for Michigan's only other second-half score.

“I feel like I cost our team in a big way,” he said.
