The Seattle Seahawks come to New England as a -3 road favorite.  This one has mostly moved between -3.5 and -3.

Sagarin gives us a number of 2.58.  We'll call this an accurate line with the slightest lean on an overlay, especially with the number at 3.  Our own model does not suggest any advantage here.

The Jerod Mayo era got off to a winning start in New England last Sunday.

Starting quarterback Jacoby Brissett completed 15 of 24 passes for 121 yards, and he ran seven times for 32 yards.

“He made plays with his arm, he made plays with his legs,” Mayo said. “He did everything we asked him to.”

Kenneth Walker III sparked Seahawks rally as Seattle tops Denver 26-20 in Mike Macdonald’s debut as head coach.

Walker III rushed for 84 of his 103 yards and a touchdown in the second half and sparked a rally following a mistake-filled first half littered with sloppy mistakes.

New England’s run game against Seattle’s rushing defense. Rhamondre Stevenson gained 120 yards on 25 carries last week, lugging the ball four straight times in the final minutes to pick up a pair of first downs that allowed the Patriots to bleed the clock. The Seahawks were 31st in run defense last season, allowing 138 yards per game, but they gave up just 99 on the ground in their opening 26-20 victory over Denver.
